It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

lol i seriously -fail- at traditional coloring xD i printed out a lineart and tried to use some prisma pencils i got for my birthday and yeeeah... this is me:

-colors like they're normal colored pencils while trying to figure out WTF tortillons are-

"something's wrong here!"

and then i figured it out and it looked -okay- but it's not... good, so i'm going to have to try to figure it out more

anyone that knows a really awesome tutorial on what everything is and how best to use it, link me? i'd love you forever -traditionalartnoob-

i don't know any tutorials.. but i can tell you what i do.
first i lightly color in flats, then i add more pressure with the pencil to shade. I might come back to a spot later to add shading/highlighting hues.
Thats basically how i color with pencils; hope that was some help ;D
